Beantown Spring Classic - FAQ

How can I play in the Beantown Spring Classic?
All players are selected on an INVITE ONLY to the Beantown Spring Classic. Our scouts begin their selection process at the beginning of each season after Labor Day. Then after the holidays a list of over 240 names for the Draft and 130 for the Pre Draft are submitted and then reviewed by the scouts/staff. The first group of players selected are those players who:
  1) Are on the NHL central scouting mid season rankings
  2) That have made a D-1 college commitment
  3) That have had D-1 college scholarship offers but have yet to make a choice yet.
  4) Do not fall into one of the first three criteria but have been dynamic during the winter season.

Names are then given to the Beantown staff and invitation letters are sent out in late January/early February. Scouting for the remaining names is ongoing through mid-end of February and the final lists for the Draft division are then sent out. The Pre Draft are sent out by mid February. Interested players can submit their interest and general information to the Beantown Classic general email at info@beantownclassic.com. Your information and interest will then be forwarded to the scouts.

Yes. We understand there can be personal conflicts that may hinder a player from coming to the Classic.

If I notice on the schedule that I could play but only if I am on a specific team is it possible to be on that schedule in order for me to attend?
Although we can not promise that we can accommodate everyone's request. If a request is put in early enough we make every attempt possible to help you participate in the Classic.

Will the schedule change?
We make every attempt not to make changes to the schedule, however sometimes things happen that are out of our control and changes are made.
