The 2005 Beantown Spring Classic is happy to announce
the addition of its first Girls Division. Two teams will make
up the inaugural tournament in what will be the first of many events
held every spring devoted to the promotion of elite female hockey
players.
Only girls who took part in a High School or Prep School
program during the past season are eligible to participate. Each team
will carry 10 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies and play 3 games.
Teams will be coached by a current NHL scout. Games consist of two
25 minute halves.
Teams made up of North Americas best will begin
a four-day tournament featuring scouts across North America. Girls
Division games will be played on March 23 and 24 to coincide with
the NCAA Womens Frozen Four Ice Hockey Tournament held March
25th and 27th at the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH.
All girls participating in the Beantown Spring Classic
will have the option of extending their weekend to attend the Frozen
Four at UNH. We have secured tickets at $20.00 per person (Regular
price: $30 and $40) for the weekend package. All 4 Frozen Four games
are included in the $20.
This is your chance to compete against the best in
the country, be seen by recruiters across North America, get a first-hand
glimpse of womens NCAA hockey at its best, and for those involved,
prepare yourself for the New England Festival.
